For those who don't know me, here's a little about me.

I was born and raised in Terre Haute. Attended a small Christian school from kindergarten until graduation. For college, I decided to go to Pensacola Christian College in Florida and study nursing. After graduating, I made the decision to head back to Terre Haute and work at Union hospital. It soon became a desire of mine to move to Nashville, Tennessee in hopes of one day working at the children's hospital.

I moved to Nashville in 2012 and began working in an adult ER. A year later, I got the call I had been praying for! I interviewed at Vanderbilt Children's hospital, was offered and accepted a position on the Pediatric cardiac floor. I fell IN LOVE with this patient population and, if you're friends with me on social media, I post about them often! A few months after I made the switch to pediatrics, I bought a house in Spring Hill and my dogs and I created a home together, but more on the dogs later! I spent almost 2 years on the pediatric cardiac floor before transitioning into the critical care float pool. I, essentially, was trained for almost every nursing department in the hospital and was floated wherever I was needed.

In July of 2016, I made the decision to start travel nursing. God worked out all the details. I was able to keep my house and my little life I had built but still start a new adventure. I took off for Dallas, TX in September. Since starting travel nursing 2.5 years ago, I have lived and worked in Dallas TX; Las Vegas, NV; Tacoma, WA; San Diego, CA; Washington, DC; Indianapolis, IN; and currently back in Dallas. I have seen places and met people I wouldn't have had the opportunity to without travel nursing. I got to explore Dallas; see the Backstreet Boys in Vegas; worked on a military base in Tacoma; went to Disney, the zoo, La Jolla beach, and Sea World in San Diego; saw the cherry blossoms in DC; started planning a wedding in Indy; and am finishing my travel life up back in Dallas with some old friends from my first assignment.

Now I get to talk about my biggest love. My dogs, Layla & Lola. Shortly after moving to Nashville, I decided a house was not a home without a dog and took the time to find the perfect for me dog. I named her, Layla. She was the easiest dog to train and became my most loyal friend when the homesickness started. Of course, silly me, I thought she needed a friend, and 3 months later, we brought Lola home. She tested my patience, but definitely completed my little family. These 2 girls have traveled all across the country with me. Seen me at my best and loved me through my worst. I could not and would not have made it as far as I have without them! These girls are my world and the loves of my life. (Don't worry, Ben knows all this already and he's alright with it!) They will both be 7 this year and I can say, without a doubt, these past 7 years have been the best and much easier with them by my side.

I told Ben when we started getting serious, it was not an option for us to be together if my dogs didn't approve of him. And they are very vocal when they don't like someone. Lucky for him, the girls took to him pretty quickly. Although, I think Lola just tolerates him, but Layla loves the fact he will play fetch with her until she is ready to be done and not a moment sooner.

I think I've bored you enough, now you get to read the super short section on Benjamin, because he's got such a way with words!

My name is Ben and I was born and raised in Terre Haute. When I was 18 years old I joined the US Air Force and did a total of 3 years and 1 combat deployment to Afghanistan.

After my time in the military I continued to live in South Georgia where I was stationed, and I worked for about 2 years in car sales .

I move back to Indiana in the begining of 2017 and took a job as a contractor for Duke Energy in their plants. At the end of 2018 I decided to take a job back in the field of my true passion, Car Sales.

In my free time I enjoy anything outdoors including hunting and fishing .
